They deliver!!! The walnut shrimp is good. Big shrimp in a mayo sauce concoction, candied walnuts and broccoli. Crab puffs are greasy and not much in them. Fried rice is a complete joke. Rice w/a tiny bit of egg in it. So, if you have to have Chinese in Camp Verde, this is your only chose.

If you are in the mood to get violently ill off of less than mediocre food that is not even kept warm in the serving trays than this is the place for you. Both of us were violently ill after eating at this most disgusting place I strongly suggest you stay as far away as possible .... there are two other china buffet's in town.

Horrible. Had the buffet and it had old food and was not prepared very well. Decor was ugly. Food was not good and tasted like it was made by a moron with a cookbook in the back. Made my stomach hurt after eating

I have been eating here when I am in Camp Verde for at least 15 years. It has always had a good buffet with fresh food that was enjoyable. Not a huge selection like the super buffets in town but the food was generally better and had more of a home made feel to it then the big buffets in town where many of the items look the same in all of them. My friend Elizabeth always likes me to take here here when we are in the area and it has always been good. We ate here on the way home from Out of Africa and had a good enjoyable meal for a good price.

Loved it! We didn't do the buffet, we ordered veggie egg foo yong and veggie fried noodles, and some egg rolls. AWESOME friendly service, delicious food, and completely unexpected in Camp Verde. We'll be back!!

As with most of these mom and pop shops stay away from the buffet unless they are very busy.

We were passing though Camp Verde on our way home form camping near Clear Creek and I was in the mood for anything Asian. We almost missed it, actually, lucky for me my bf was paying attention and glimpsed it out of the corner of his eye. We were a little skeptical (as "small town" Asian places usually don't offer a large vegetarian selection, heck I even have trouble with city places -what the heck?- not like we're a rarity!) but that proved unnecessary; their vegetarian selection is quite nice! We didn't try the buffet, though it seemed like a great deal. Though the menu was totally reasonable, and between the two of us (two appetizers and two entrees, plus tip) the check barely came to $30. Oh, the service was awesome, too! I wish I could remember the waitress' name, I suck with names, but she made the experience for me :)

We are local and we have eaten at Ming house in cottonwood many times this place is a very Filthy restaurant.... Employees sit around and don't pay attention to detail.... Food is horrendous, cold and lacks variety. When we left abruptly after 2 bites the cashier didn't even bother to ask why or how our food was. Don't go here trust me.... La Casita nearby is way more impressive and fresh!

Thought I'd give it a try one day and I was pleasantly surprised! Have been here several times since and have not been dissapointed a bit. Service is always quick and friendly. They have a regular menu but I always get the buffet (I'm pretty sure it's the same items offered for both lunch and dinner buffet) for about $7 which includes your choice of soup, a pretty diverse salad bar, various entrees and even desserts, can't beat that!. For a small place I thought they had a good variety of entrees and all were tasty. I've tried many similar "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurants where the food was so bland that I wouldn't go back, but I have to say this was better than many. The interior is pretty dated and could definitely use design touches, but I come here to eat not look at the walls haha!

On our way from the beautiful Grand Canyon, my family and I stopped here for lunch before meeting up with an old family friend. Small place out in no where, we were a bit skeptical but we were surprised at the quality of the food and service. Both was very good and it was a buffet all at $5.95 a person! What a deal! The selection isn't extensive but the taste and quality in this small place was much better than other places we've had on our family trip. If you're ever close by AZ, check this place out.

Ended up stranded in Camp Verde during the holiday weekend snow storm and, being me, decided to look further than the fast food offerings near our motel & the freeway. Although the fried rice was lacking in ingredients, the Mongolian Beef and the Mu Shu Pork were some of the best that I've ever had, as were the egg rolls, soup and potstickers. It was late on a Sunday night and the place was empty, so I had the great fortune to chat with the wonderfully friendly Malaysian woman that runs the place. This is my new "pit stop" when traveling between Phoenix & Flag. Everything was homemade and absolutely delicious!

Big portions of good food with a buffet Off I 17 into town of Camp Verde , pass the freeway fast food and go into town look for the big Realtors sign in a old west looking old shopping center. The food has a Indonesian influence A good place to get off the road and stretch your legs good food for a fair price

Whoa! Zen A. got violently ill the day before we stopped here. Not a good thing at all. But we didn't. Ming House is a Camp Verde favorite of my co-worker Richard. And Camp Verde is in the part of Arizona Richard's people come from and he considers his turf. So we stopped for lunch. If you're a vegetarian, you can eat well here. The buffet veggies were perfectly cooked, still colorful and crunchy. The buffet had items I rarely sees in a Chinese buffet, like at least two kinds of kimchee and pitted whole apricots. Rice is white or fried. I've seen and eaten better fried rice. I also had the sesame chicken. One or two pieces were mostly breading, the rest had decent amounts of chicken. Maybe the Zen A. party had wings. I've been ambushed by wings, and once by a grilled chicken salad in a very tony place. I agree Zen A. no fun. The decor and ambiance was nice. Brightly lit. Different kinds of poster art depicting Malaysian seafoods, a tiny aquarium in a Feng Shui corner with one of Malaysia's decorative fish in it (I learned it is decorative from another wall poster). Lots of red and gold graphic art, and a good luck cat waving its battery-powered paw at dessert bar munchers. Lots of locals filled the place. I thought it was pretty good. Will I return? Definitely if I'm traveling again with Richard. Which tends to be a lot. I may write more about Richard in the coming months, as we get dispatched across the west to write various plans.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
